Profile Summary

I am a computational biology researcher with an M.Tech in computational biology from Pondicherry University (DBT Scholar, 2024–2026) and a qualified ICMR-Junior Research Fellow (FMR). My expertise lies in structure-based drug discovery, molecular docking, and MD simulations, with hands-on experience in industry-standard tools including AutoDock Vina, Schrödinger Glide, and GROMACS. My M.Tech thesis focused on identifying novel drug targets against multidrug-resistant Acinetobacter baumannii—a WHO critical-priority pathogen—with emphasis on RND efflux pump regulators and the outer membrane protein CarO. This work involved end-to-end computational drug discovery workflows: target identification, homology modeling, virtual screening, molecular docking, and MD simulation-based validation. Beyond computational work, I bring wet-lab experience in molecular cloning, recombinant protein expression in E. coli, and biochemical characterization—giving me an integrated perspective rare among purely computational researchers. I have a peer-reviewed publication in the Indian Journal of Microbiology (2025) and a co-authored Elsevier book chapter (2026).
