Profile Summary

My work involves researching multiple ocean acidification drivers, including riverine influx, groundwater discharge, aerosol deposition, and industrial effluents, and their effects on ecologically important organisms, particularly phytoplankton such as coccolithophores, and designing and conducting experiments to understand future possible climatic changes. My Ph.D. work and subsequent research investigated the effects of climate variability on phytoplankton communities, including both present-day and paleoenvironmental assemblages from the Southern Ocean and Arctic regions. Additionally, I have experience in ecotoxicology and investigating the impacts of toxic substances on aquatic and terrestrial organisms.
