Profile Summary

I am a biotechnology and immunology researcher with a BSc in Biotechnology from the University of Oviedo and an MSc in Immunology and Inflammation from the University of Copenhagen. My background combines hands-on wet lab experience with growing expertise in bioinformatics and genomic data science. My research experience has focused primarily on translational cancer research and therapeutic antibodies. During my master’s thesis at BRIC/Finsenlab in Copenhagen, I investigated the therapeutic potential of uPAR-targeted antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs) in NSCLC and colorectal cancer models. This involved mammalian cell culture, flow cytometry, confocal microscopy, Western blot, ELISA, PCR, in vivo mouse models, experimental troubleshooting, and data interpretation. Previously, during my bachelor’s thesis at the Instituto Universitario de Oncología del Principado de Asturias (IUOPA), I worked on the generation and characterization of monoclonal antibodies targeting collagen XIα1, a cancer-associated biomarker. This work contributed to a scientific publication and GenBank sequence submissions. In addition to laboratory research, I have training in bioinformatics and genomic data science, including R, Python, Bioconductor, sequence analysis, and biological data interpretation. I am particularly interested in tumour immunology, translational oncology, therapeutic antibodies, scientific writing, and interdisciplinary biomedical research. I am comfortable working in international and multidisciplinary environments and communicating professionally in both English and Spanish.
