With 9+ years of scientific and managerial experience, I currently co-lead and execute internal programs and external cross-functional projects in RNA/Oligonucleotide therapeutics and Neuroscience spaces. My technical expertise is focused on in vivo/in vitro pharmacology studies, disease modeling, drug potency and efficacy assessment, and PK/PD studies. As a team leader and team player, I have extensive experience in leading team activities/projects demonstrated by contributing to the activities of the Pharmacology team at Alltrna and co-leading the Molecular Neuroscience Unit at the Palestinian Neuroscience Initiative (PNI). As an effective communicator, I have presented at several scientific conferences and company meetings, and authored and reviewed IND-enabling materials. I also enjoy engaging with and mentoring people from different backgrounds, evident by leading biotech student organizations (GRO-Biotech), participating in community outreach programs (Skype A Scientist) and public speaking societies (Toastmasters), and more recently mentoring graduate students interested in transitioning into the pharmaceutical industry.
