Profile Summary

I am a bioinformatics scientist with a Ph.D. in biology (Bioinformatics) from the Institute of Neuroscience CSIC-UMH, Spain, where I was awarded the prestigious Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions EU Horizon 2020 fellowship. Currently, I am a postdoctoral research fellow under the Momentum-CSIC EU grant, leading projects on tumor-immune interactions and epigenetic regulation in cancer using single-cell and spatial transcriptomics approaches. With over eight years of experience in NGS data analysis, I have expertise in single-cell RNA-Seq (scRNA-Seq), scATAC-Seq, bulk RNA-Seq, ChIP-Seq, Methyl-Seq, and DNA-Seq. My research focuses on Epithelial to Mesenchymal Transition (EMT) in neural crest development, fibrosis, and cancer progression, leveraging deep learning and machine learning for cell fate prediction. My work has been published in high-impact journals such as Nature Cancer. Beyond academia, I have developed bioinformatics pipelines, web tools, and ML-based prediction models for genomic and clinical research. I have also contributed to projects involving TCGA data curation, functional microbiome analysis, and regulatory genomics. Passionate about applying bioinformatics to solve complex biological problems, I am open to collaborations in genomics, transcriptomics, cancer biology, and computational biology.
