Profile Summary

I recently finished my PhD in the design of multi-target drugs acting on the inflammatory pathway. It involved investigations into the drug targets and novel druggable sites on the enzymes of this pathway using both theoretical and experimental approaches. Several computational methods were utilised to deduce common features of the inhibitors as well as the enzymes/proteins, which could aid in the development of multi-target drugs. The hypothesis generated from the computational analysis was tested in wet-lab conditions by enzyme assays. The findings were published in 3 research articles (first author) and 1 review article (first author). In addition to writing scientific articles, I have also published non-scientific English articles in national Indian newspapers.
