Profile Summary

I have expertise in Physical and Materials Chemistry with 10+ years of experience. I earned my PhD from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor and I am currently working as a Senior Lecturer at the University of Colombo, Sri Lanka. My areas of expertise include linear/nonlinear spectroscopy, synthesis and characterization of nanoparticles, imaging, quantum clusters/dots, near-field scanning optical microscopy (NSOM), organic photovoltaic (solar cell) materials, singlet fission, linear/nonlinear microscopy, ultrafast spectroscopy, femtosecond spectroscopy, lasers, high resolution microscopy and optoelectronic/sensing materials. In addition to my teaching and research work in the fields of singlet fission, nanoparticles/nanoclusters, Raman spectroscopy/surface enhanced Raman Spectroscopy (SERS), singlet fission, sensing/optoelectronic materials, I serve as a mentor and advisor to graduate and undergraduate students.
