Profile Summary

I am MUGWERI EMMA aged 28, a surveyor with a Bachelor’s degree of science in surveying and Land Information System. I hold five years of practical experience with excellent competence in the major surveying fields which include; Cadastral surveys majoring in Subdivision design and Layout, Boundary retracement, Cadaster records research and Land title surveys. I have successfully conducted and completed Engineering survey works on major infrastructure projects such as The 183MW Isimba Hydro Power Plant and Isimba-Bujagali Interconnection Project Component II Public Bridge and Access roads, it comprised of two bridges each measuring 432.5m and 457.5m to give a total length of 890m separated by Koova Island. The bridge also has two access roads of length 3.5Km and 2.5Km connecting to it on either side, where I have been part of the Uganda National Roads Authority team as an Assistant surveyor mainly ensuring quality control and assurance as per the design requirements and standards at all stages of construction, carrying out of design reviews, setting out of both vertical and horizontal designs of bridge components at various construction levels, conducting of computer stimulations using advanced software packages like civil 3D and AutoCAD. I’m familiar with both conventional and non-conventional methods of gathering geospatial data of various accuracy levels based on best practice standards and procedures. I have served and accomplished on various project assignments in the category of Supervision and Quality control, design in different management capacities, on local projects these include Road highways of various classification, Water gravity schemes such as Mubuku irrigation scheme project, Structures mainly Dams and Bridges, all with special focus on Design and Construction. I am fully acquainted with technical skills and experience in the state of the art surveying equipment including professional software packages. I hold adequate and integral skills in Supervision of construction projects, management and executing activities such as Setting out, taking of measurements, conducting of quality checks & control on all aspects of survey work to ensure compliance to the design standards and specifications
