Profile Summary

I am a PhD-trained molecular pharmacologist specializing in GPCR signaling, receptor pharmacology, and small-molecule drug discovery. My research focuses on understanding how ligand–receptor interactions influence downstream signaling pathways and physiological outcomes, with particular expertise in biased signaling mechanisms and translational pharmacology. My doctoral work at Thomas Jefferson University investigated signaling bias at the β2-adrenergic receptor and strategies to improve therapeutic responses through selective pathway activation. This work involved biochemical and cell-based pharmacology assays, receptor signaling analysis, and mechanistic interpretation of ligand activity. I have also contributed to research on allosteric modulators of GPCRs and the structural determinants of receptor signaling bias. In addition to academic research, I have industry experience in assay development and early-stage drug discovery. My work has involved designing and optimizing screening platforms, evaluating small-molecule pharmacology, and interpreting experimental data to guide therapeutic development. Currently, my research focuses on the pharmacology of cannabinoids and related compounds in models of neuropathic pain and addiction, integrating molecular pharmacology with translational disease models.
