Profile Summary

I am a molecular and computational biochemist with a strong focus on infectious disease research, mosquito vector biology, and data-driven drug discovery. Currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Biochemistry at Covenant University, I investigate the key enzymes of Anopheles gambiae trehalose metabolism as potential targets for mosquito control. My M.Sc. research centered on genetic and in-silico analyses of Plasmodium falciparum 6-pyruvoyltetrahydropterin synthase, advancing understanding of an underexplored enzyme in the folate biosynthesis pathway of the parasite. Over the past three years as a Research Assistant at the Covenant Applied Informatics and Communication–Africa Centre of Excellence (CApIC-ACE), I have combined wet-lab molecular biology with computational approaches. My expertise spans protein structure prediction, homology modeling, molecular docking, SAR studies, ADMET analysis, and gene expression profiling. I routinely design and execute field and laboratory studies on mosquito populations, from larval collection and rearing to insecticide resistance assays and qPCR. My publication record includes peer-reviewed articles on protein modeling, natural product inhibitors, and computational genomics. I hold certifications in multi-omics data integration, AI-assisted data analysis, spatial omics, and Google Data Analytics, and I am proficient in Python, R, SQL, and major bioinformatics platforms. Recognized for critical thinking and clear scientific communication, I have presented research at national and international conferences and served in leadership roles within the CApIC-ACE Alumni Forum.
