Profile Summary

I have a master degree in Biology, Health and Ecology. During this period, I did two years of internship at the Brain Institute working on cortical neurons model to study the Hereditary Spastic Paraplegia. Then, I did almost 10 years as an assistant research in fundamental and transversal research focusing on neurological disorders affecting either the inflammation pathway or the synapses connectivity. During this years, I got the opportunity to work not only in France but also abroad, in the UK, giving the chance to explore even more the science. From those work experiences, I developed a deep understanding in biology and neurosciences, going along with a technical expertise in molecular and cellular biology, a skill to optimize and write experimental procedures, an ability to analyze and present scientific results, and to synthesize datas from the literature. I participated to the writing of scientific publications on projects I was working on. I also trained students on experimental skills and analysis software. This last five years, beside my role as assistant researcher, I was also lab manager of the team. I am in charge of communicating with the biotechnology companies to buy product, to discuss about new technologies and to organize equipment maintenance. I also take care of the health and safety rules being followed in the lab. And lastly, I represent the lab in the organization of health and well-being of animals. To improve scientific collaboration and social communication, I also volunteer to work into the Institute student association for two years. We are organizing social and scientific events for students and non-permanent positions members. We interact with many actors to validate each projects, and we spread the information through mails and visual outcomes.
