Profile Summary

I am presently serving as Chief Technical Officer at ICAR–Central Arid Zone Research Institute (CAZRI), Jodhpur, with over 28 years of experience in plant ecology, biodiversity conservation, ecological modelling, environmental impact assessment, and advanced statistical analysis. I hold a Ph.D. in Plant Ecology and have authored more than 150 peer-reviewed research publications along with five scholarly books covering environmental impact assessment, plant spatial analysis, biodiversity modelling, plant disease epidemiology, and ethnobotany. My research expertise includes ensemble Species Distribution Modelling (SDM), climate-resilient suitability mapping using Earth System Models, machine learning approaches for habitat and niche modelling, land degradation assessment, soil and vegetation analysis, invasion ecology, and remote sensing applications. I have led and collaborated on several national and international projects, including ISRO-supported grassland mapping, Indo-Australian rangeland degradation studies (CSIRO collaboration), mine site rehabilitation planning, conservation modelling of endangered species such as Commiphora wightii, and geostatistical soil salinity mapping. I provide high-level support in experimental design, multivariate and machine learning-based statistical analysis, ecological data interpretation, and scientific manuscript development, with a strong focus on methodological rigor and publication-quality outputs.
