Majid Ali is a Clinical Pharmacist and Educator, currently serving as a Lecturer in Pharmacology at the College of Medicine, Sulaiman Al-Rajhi University in Saudi Arabia. He holds an MSc in Clinical Pharmacy from University College London, UK. Previously, he spent eight years at the University of Hertfordshire, UK, where he played a key role in the development and evaluation of a pharmaceutical care program for patients with diabetes. This initiative was part of a collaborative grant funded by MSD and the UK Department of Health. During his tenure, he received multiple accolades, including the Vice-Chancellor’s Tutor of the Year Award and the Faculty Excellence Award in Blended Learning (2012). In 2013, he was awarded an educational grant to design a mobile application aimed at enhancing pharmacy education. From 2015 to 2021, he was a Lecturer at Umm Al-Qura University, Saudi Arabia, where he led several educational projects and served as Head of the Assessment Unit. His contributions significantly enhanced academic quality and curriculum development. Majid Ali is also the founder of the MyDispense Saudi Community, a national platform that promotes collaboration among pharmacy educators in the use of the MyDispense virtual simulation tool. He is a Fellow of the UK Higher Education Academy and a Board-Certified Geriatric Pharmacist. His research interests span artificial intelligence in healthcare, educational innovation in higher education, pharmacogenomics, and diabetes management.
