Some of my previous projects in AI/ML domains are described below-: i) Forecast Engine Utility (Demand forecasting) • Led development and deployment of a Demand Forecasting product for a FMCG giant in Europe and LATAM region • Predicted primary sales for Supply chain, customer development, S&OE, S&OP of 5000+ SKUs and 1000+ national level customers • Worked on data cleaning, EDA, implemented comprehensive feature engineering, and multivariate ML models like Random Forest and XGBoost using PySpark, Azure, Databricks • Led the System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and validated forecasts against market test cases • Established CI/CD pipelines and scalable data architecture enabling seamless integration and deployment • Oversaw productionization with DevOps teams, ensuring scalability and reusability during system deployment • Set up robust Data Warehousing and implemented Guardrails to capture data related issues in the product life cycle • Led business calls with stakeholders to align market requirements, improve forecast quality, and drive product development ii) Material Requirement Planning • Worked on the optimization of business waste, lead time, active purchase orders and requisite review for a FMCG giant • worked on ETL process of demand and consumption data for 13-26-52-week buckets at plant-material level • Data mining from SAP for Exploratory Data Analysis and Data Modelling over R to develop data pipelines for analytics and data visualization using Microsoft PowerBI dashboards for inventory management iii) OCR Contract Analysis • worked on business contracts with different scopes from SAP, Coupa, and Jaggaer to draw out Named Entities and pecuniary information in structured format to develop Microsoft Power Bi dashboards for compliance regulation • extracted and processed the raw text from the PDF file and used different NLP techniques, trained models (in Spacy and NLTK) and regex expressions to parse out the data in excel format for each contract of 60+ pages iv) Optical Character Recognition Tool (Computer Vision & NLP) • engineered an Optical Character Recognition (OCR) feature to extract medical prescriptions data, aiding marketing strategies and medical representatives • the tool yielded $1 savings per user request, maximizing cost efficiency for the business • used Tesseract (5.0) OCR engine to parse raw text from images with hyperparameter tuning • implemented image processing techniques using Python Imaging Library (PIL), Computer Vision (cv2) to improve image quality • extracted named entities like Doctor's name, address, email address, contact no., timings, etc. from the unstructured raw text using Python regular expressions, NLP During my research career, I have managed several projects with national and international collaborators resulting in grant funding and publications.
