Profile Summary

I have a Ph.D in Theoretical Physics. My Ph.D research was focused on the Statistical Physics of charged macromolecules. I also have some experience with simulations of Non-equilibrium Statistical Physics systems. My work experience includes working as a consultant for a mining consultancy and 8 years as faculty member in the Physics Department at Stellenbosch University in South Africa. In 2014 I left academia to co-found a small company that provides technical support for corporate clients for their online staff training. In 2018 I helped initiate a project that aims to teach high school learners basic programming skills. I am currently involved in a research project with some mathematicians at Stellenbosch University working on developing the mathematical tools to solve certain classes of non-linear problems. I also do some mathematical modelling consulting and spend the rest of my time writing some mathematics educational content.
