I am a biochemist and structural biologist with a general interest in transcription and RNA processing.

My research has focused on understanding the molecular details of eukaryotic gene expression with a particular focus on transcription and RNA processing. I have extensive hands-on experience in biochemistry, structural biology (cryo-EM), molecular biology, genomics (next generation sequencing) and chemical-genetics. I have extensive experience (>10 years) in academic and scientific writing, copy editing and formatting scientific research articles for publication. I also have experience in developing and writing successfully funded NSF and NIH grants.
