Profile Summary

I am a PhD graduand at the School of Informatics, University of Edinburgh. My research interests include mechanistic models of biological systems, and the modelling process from underlying data to executable artefact. I have focused on creating and maintaining models as a mutable data structure, with particular emphasis on understanding how best to translate raw data into a model, bridging the divide between what we can observe in experiments and what we can question computationally. I also wish to expand my horizons into practical bioinformatics and data analysis, realising a concrete iterative design-and-verify workflow from genomic and proteomic data to a computational model.
