Profile Summary

My long-term research goal is to become an independent researcher and to establish a strong career in the field of stem cell biology, immunology, and translational research. My PhD project was focused on neural differentiation of mouse pluripotent stem cells aiming to develop novel differentiation protocols and enrichment strategies for generating different neural cell types. During my B.Tech (Biotechnology), I worked on two different research projects: (i) Estimation of antioxidant activity of natural plant extracts using chick embryo fibroblast cell culture and their antibacterial activity and (ii) Detection of Rotavirus in children with acute diarrhea using RNA-PAGE. I have also worked on 'Production and quality control of vaccines and antisera' as a research trainee at Central Research Institute, Kasauli. Also, I did training in 'Diagnostic techniques' at KOS Diagnostic Lab, KOS Hospital, Ambala Cantt and learned about 'Molecular biology techniques' at Department of Zoology, Delhi University, Delhi. I work as a freelance scientific editor for Cactus Communications where I edit the manuscripts that involve the research performed in the area of Biochemistry, Genetics, and Molecular Biology. Also, I write and edit articles for the blog named 'Reporting from the lab' at Club SciWri. These articles help in communicating exciting research in the area of life sciences.
