Profile Summary

During my academic experience, I had the opportunity to work with different experimental approaches and research targets. During graduation, I developed projects that involve the understanding of schistosomiasis mansoni in the southern region of Espírito Santo, with this I generated interesting data such as educational initiatives, molecular data on the intermediate host (mollusk), and a potential therapeutic effect of an herb to eliminate mollusks. During my master's and doctoral studies, I developed projects that could improve my skills with Molecular Biology tools, in addition to understanding more about an unconventional model organism for understanding the biology of insect development. During this period I was able to develop a biotech tool in order to create different yeast strains to understand interesting molecular interactions. While still in graduate school, I was also able to work with unpublished genomic data of the model organism used in the laboratory, which can generate interesting data to better understand the group of dipteran insects, a group of expressive importance in various economic sectors and also in the health area.
