Profile Summary

I am a PhD statistician and senior statistical programmer with 15+ years of experience across academia, pharmaceutical research, and real-world evidence. I specialise in advanced statistical modelling, Bayesian statistics, machine learning, longitudinal data analysis, mixed-effects models, and medical statistics. I currently work in the pharmaceutical industry, providing statistical and programming support for complex real-world evidence and epidemiological studies. Previously, I worked as a Clinical Statistician at Pfizer, supporting drug development projects including clinical trial design and statistical analysis plans. I also spent 10 years as a Lecturer in Statistics at Birkbeck, University of London, where I taught MSc-level courses in statistical and machine learning, longitudinal/dependent data, time series analysis, and medical statistics, and supervised MSc and PhD students. My programming experience includes R, SQL, SAS, C, and Python, as well as R Shiny, Stan, Linux and Git. I have developed statistical software and R packages, including BNSP, an R package for Bayesian semiparametric regression and variable selection, and mixcat, an R package for mixed-effects models. My research has focused particularly on Bayesian and semiparametric modelling, multivariate longitudinal data, mixed-effects models, and Bayesian nonparametric methods. I have published research in journals including Statistics in Medicine, Journal of Computational and Graphical Statistics, Statistics and Computing, and the Journal of the Royal Statistical Society: Series B. I can support projects ranging from statistical methodology and study design through to data analysis, statistical modelling, programming, interpretation, and reproducible implementation. I particularly enjoy working on complex problems where both statistical expertise and strong programming skills are required.
