Profile Summary

I did a PhD in  Life sciences  and worked in biomedical research for the past 28 years. I have extensive experience in cell biology,cell signalling ,natural products  and scientific writing . My biomedical research sphere included diverse areas like  allergic diseases , vision science, tropical diseases , heavy metal toxicity,liver cirrhosis and vascular diseases and  natural compounds like flavonoids and terpenoids  etc   I have supervised more than 10 masters degree thesis and have been helping in interpreting experiments  for the fulflilment of Ph.D. Thesis for many students.These were published in prestigious journals of the field and have been cited over 450 times in other researchers’ studies. My most recent publication from the  group of vision science  I had been heading has been recomended by several peers. Part of the work that I did in 2000-2010 is still innovative to be published and many people are citing them in prominent journals of the field.The research in the area of flavonoids are very important in pandemic situation.
I have experience of working in goverment funding agencies and have been involved in formulating research policies. I had  been associated with  Editorial Board of several important journals and I have been constantly peer reviewing scientific papers of prestigious journals in the area of cell biology and pharmacology with special reference to natural products.
I’m able to work independently, setting my own goals, designing and interpreting experiments. Innovation and creativity help me solve technical problems efficiently.
I understand the importance of writing and wording, not only in written form to peers but also to deliver valuable information to the consumer. . My way of communicating science in lucid form has been time tested during my tenure at government funding agency.
