Profile Summary

PhD in Biological Sciences with an emphasis in exercise physiology, redox biology and aging. I have used exercise testing, exercise training interventions, non-exercise stressors, in humans, animal models, and cell culture studies to investigate stress resilience in aging cells. I have experience running assays in several tissue types, including immune cells, blood plasma, skeletal muscle, liver, and heart tissue. I have experience with biochemical and molecular biology techniques such as protein western blotting, redox western blotting, QPCR, ELISAs, spectrophotometric assays, and cutting edge technologies using Click-Chemistry molecules for bio-orthogonal analysis and protein labeling. I have performed approximately 500 vein-punctures in adults of all ages. Prior to my PhD work, I was an independent research associate for a private orthopedic sports medicine practice, where I consulted on several independent projects and quality improvement research to improve best practices.
