Profile Summary

I am a scientist in plant molecular biology and biotechnology with a strong focus on RNA biology, long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs), stress adaptation, and genome plasticity. My work combines molecular biology, physiology, bioinformatics, and systems biology approaches to better understand how plants respond to environmental challenges such as salinity and drought. Throughout my academic career, I have led and contributed to multidisciplinary research projects involving gene regulation, retrotransposons, tissue culture, and stress-responsive pathways in plants. I am particularly interested in the intersection of epigenetics, transposable elements, and environmental adaptation, as well as the emerging integration of mathematical and physical modeling into biological systems. Alongside research, I value mentoring, teaching, and scientific collaboration, and I actively participate in international COST Actions focused on RNA communication, biological information dynamics, and innovative plant biotechnology.
