I have been a research scientist for 22 years in preclinical laboratories studying the neurobiology of abused drugs, including alcohol, nicotine, opioids and psychedelics. I’d design and conduct experiments, as well as train and mentor staff and students in their thesis projects, and administered projects conducted in partnership with pharma companies. A major focus of my work is scientific writing, including grants, articles, abstracts and protocols, as well as editing other team members work, and work from collaborators’ laboratories.
