Profile Summary

I have a Chemical Engineering Degree, a Master Degree in Pharmaceutical Products and Cosmetics and a PhD in Chemical, Environmental and Process Engineering. My experience spans academic research and industrial R&D. My academic research (10 years, with a 3-year postdoctoral position at University of Oxford) provides me with an excellent knowledge of heterogeneous & asymmetric catalysis. I have vast expertise in: synthesizing layered materials, intercalating chiral and achiral compounds, liquid and solid materials characterization and studying & understanding reaction mechanisms. On the industrial R&D experience, I have focused on developing core@shell and multifunctional materials ( via surface treatment and surface modification). My work has been the subject of 4 patents and 9 articles in high-impact factor journals (e.g. Nature Communications, Journal of Catalysis). In my spare time, I tutor on different areas of Chemistry.
