I am trained as a neuroethologist. As a graduate student I studied the neuronal basis of behavior in sea slugs, work that included both neurophysiology and multiple forms of mass spectrometry. As a postdoc, I studied the neurotoxic effects of the neonicotinoid pesticide imidacloprid in a mouse model, using toxicological dosing, cognitive testing, and a variety of gene expression techniques. Thus, I am an excellent resource for manuscript preparation, experimental design, and results interpretation for research in any of these areas. I also offer support with copy editing and can support the writing process for non-native English speakers. Additionally, I am fluent in Spanish, so can offer additional support for Spanish speakers in manuscript preparation. My background also includes substantial Anatomy and Physiology teaching, so I am well-suited to assist with materials preparation in this area.
