Profile Summary

I am a psychology researcher and quantitative research consultant with more than 25 years of professional experience in commercial research, quantitative analysis, econometric and regression modelling, complemented by formal academic training and research experience in psychology. I hold a Bachelor of Psychology (Honours) from Edith Cowan University (ECU) and a Bachelor of Economics (Honours) from the University of Sydney. I have also been accepted into the PhD program in Psychology at ECU, where I am undertaking doctoral research. My psychology Honours thesis received a First Class result and examined future orientation, impulsivity and risk-taking in emerging adulthood. The research involved advanced quantitative analysis, including structural equation modelling (SEM) using IBM SPSS AMOS, to investigate direct and indirect relationships between psychological constructs and risk-taking behaviour. My academic research experience builds on more than 25 years of commercial quantitative research and modelling. Throughout my career, I have used regression and econometric modelling to analyse complex datasets, identify and quantify relationships between variables, test hypotheses, evaluate competing explanations and translate statistical findings into meaningful insights. This combination of academic psychology and extensive applied quantitative experience enables me to offer researchers more than statistical processing. I bring an understanding of research questions, methodology, modelling, interpretation and communication to each project, with a strong focus on ensuring that the analysis is appropriate for the research question and that the findings can be clearly understood and explained. I am also open to projects in other disciplines where strong quantitative, regression or research expertise is required. I offer support on a freelance, project-by-project basis, ranging from focused statistical or methodological consultation to more substantial quantitative research assignments. I am particularly well suited to projects where a researcher has a dataset and research questions but requires additional quantitative expertise to determine the appropriate analytical approach, conduct the analysis and interpret the findings. My approach combines academic research rigour with more than 25 years of real-world quantitative modelling experience. My aim is not simply to generate statistical output, but to help researchers understand what their data are telling them, ensure that conclusions are supported by the evidence, and communicate their findings clearly, accurately and meaningfully.
