Profile Summary

My work sits at the intersection of research, clinical practice, and global health policy — a combination that allows me to bring both scientific rigor and real-world perspective to every project I take on. My published research includes a scoping review examining how natural disasters affect the cognitive functioning and neuropsychiatric symptoms of older adults with dementia, published in the European Geriatric Medicine Journal (2026). This work reflects my core research interests — healthy ageing, dementia, climate and health, NCD prevention, disability-inclusive policy, Universal Health Coverage, and health systems strengthening in the MENA region. On the policy side, I serve as a Global Health Policy Analyst at the World Federation of Public Health Associations (WFPHA), where I synthesize WHO Executive Board discussions, produce policy reports, and coordinate between Geneva-based teams and UN stakeholders. I also co-authored a research proposal on tobacco consumption among students in Nepal — successfully accepted by the Nepal Health Research Council — and contributed to Monitoring and Evaluation frameworks for school-based tobacco control campaigns. What sets me apart is the depth of experience I bring to this work. More than ten years of clinical practice in physical rehabilitation across Egyptian healthcare settings has given me a grounded understanding of how health systems actually function — and where they fall short. My MSc in Healthy Aging and Rehabilitation from Western Norway University of Applied Sciences, completed with a GPA of 4.00/5.00, sharpened my ability to critically appraise evidence and translate complex research into meaningful outputs. I am available for remote projects in scoping and literature reviews, health policy analysis, research proposal development, M&E framework design, and technical writing — delivered in Arabic or English with the precision and professionalism that complex global health work demands.
