Profile Summary

I am an incoming PhD student in Government at Harvard University specializing in political economy. I currently work a Predoctoral Research Fellow in the Wilson School at Princeton University through the Emerging Scholars Program, where I provide advanced statistical analysis to various faculty members of the Politics department. My previous analysis supported ongoing research in assessing the role of firm heterogeneity in determining local economic, social, and environmental outcomes associated with natural resource extraction in African countries. Prior to this, I worked as a Research Assistant at the International Finance Corporation within the Thought Leadership Unit where I supported the 2019 IFC flagship report on improving gender and income-inclusiveness of electricity and water markets. My previous professional experiences include positions at the World Bank: analyzing the significant damage to social and human capital caused by the ongoing conflict in Syria; the United Nations: co-producing 10 of 28 of the Joint Inspections Unit’s Management Letters; and Thomson Reuters: analyzing the relationship between Mexican, Salvadoran, and Venezuelan macroeconomic indicators and migration. As a prospective Ph.D. student, I plan to examine topics such as ensuring the accountability of public officials, and community-responsive policymaking.

I will clean data, produce descriptive statistics, conduct regression analyses, and create stunning visualizations. All output will be properly formatted and will include the code used to create the output. I work in both STATA and R. I also am the founder and president of a nonprofit called the Research in Color Foundation. I would therefore be happy to help with resume/CV writing, cover letter writing, and interview prep for those interested in economics and related fields (public policy, political economy, etc.)

I received a Master’s degree from the George Washington University in Applied Economics and a double Bachelor’s Degree in Economics and International Studies from the University of Michigan.
