Profile Summary

I am a PhD researcher and postdoctoral fellow specializing in organometallic chemistry, sustainable catalysis, and synthetic organic chemistry. My research primarily focuses on developing transition metal-catalyzed transformations using earth-abundant metals such as iron, nickel, cobalt, and manganese, with emphasis on regioselective and stereoselective organic synthesis. Currently, I am working as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University on photochemical asymmetric transformations of small molecules. My work involves the synthesis and characterization of novel chiral organic molecules and mechanistic investigations of catalytic processes. I completed my PhD in Organometallic Catalysis at CSIR-National Chemical Laboratory under Prof. Benudhar Punji. My doctoral research focused on iron- and nickel-catalyzed regioselective transformations of heterocycles and alkynes, including hydroboration, hydrosilylation, C–H activation, alkylation, arylation, and difluoroalkylation reactions. I also conducted detailed mechanistic studies involving catalyst design, ligand synthesis, and reaction optimization.
