Profile Summary

I am a skilled researcher in the field of Biophysical Chemistry. I have done my Masters in Chemistry (specialization Physical Chemistry). I have done my Ph.D from Indian Institute of Chemical Biology, Kolkata and studied drug-protein interaction using spectroscopy and calorimetric techniques. After that I did my first postdoc from Saha Institute of Nuclear Physics and worked on a project entitled "Gating related structural dynamics of potassium channel" and used fluorescence spectroscopy in particular. I also acquired knowledge on basic molecular biology and biochemistry at this time and learned membrane protein expression and purification. I moved to Weizmann Institute of Science, Israel for my second postdoc. I have extensively studied protein-peptide interaction using CW-EPR and Pulsed EPR techniques. I have also worked on a project on Liquid-Liquid phase separation of a intrinsically disordered protein. Skills: Protein expression purification, Plasmid purification, Side directed mutagenesis, SDS-PAGE, Western Blot, PCR, UV-Vis spectroscopy, Fluorescence spectroscopy, EPR spectroscopy, Circular Dichroism, DLS, Calorimetric techniques like ITC, DSC, Optical Microscopy, Chromatographic techniques like HPLC, FPLC Etc. Now I am eagerly looking for a position where I can apply all my acquired knowledge and skills.
