Profile Summary

I have a PhD in neuroscience and extensive experience writing scientific manuscripts and grant applications. I also have experience writing web content, educational articles, grants, and federal documents for non-profit organizations. I believe that the most important skills a science or medical writer can possess are the ability to quickly research and understand information and to communicate that information clearly and concisely. Not only does my background as a neuroscientist provide a strong knowledge base for scientific and medical writing, it also makes me an expert researcher and communicator. As a freelance science and medical writer, I am able to to apply the skills I gained during my scientific training to quickly understand, synthesize, and communicate information. I seek out challenges in all aspects of my life (I’m a marathon and ultramarathon runner in my free time!) and freelance science and medical writing provides the level of challenge that I consistently strive for in my life.
