Profile Summary

I completed my PharmD degree and PhD degree in pharmaceutics at Tehran University of Medical sciences in. My area of research interest is related to preparation and characterization of novel drug delivery systems such as using new biomaterials such as cellulose nanocrystals, cellulose and lignin nanofibers for preparation of novel drug delivery systems for cancer treatment and prevention of metastasis and also preparation of novel wound dressings. Other area of my research interest is related to treatment of cancers using the targeted drug delivery systems for cancer treatment, using of additive manufacturing, 3D printing, and nanomanufacturing techniques in order to improve the safety, reliability, and efficacy of pharmaceutical formulations used to treat cancer, neurodegenerative disorders, cardiovascular diseases, and other health challenges and reduce the associated healthcare costs. I have rich experience of design of advanced drug delivery systems and wound dressings using natural nanofibers and using of self-assembled natural cyclotides for treatment of neurodegenerative disorders such as multiple sclerosis, using FDM 3D printing for the preparation of advanced drug dosage forms, using targeted nanoparticulate drug delivery systems for targeted drug delivery to tumors, preparation of thermoresponsive drug delivery system. I have been regularly invited to conduct peer review for authoritative journals in the field of pharmaceutics, including International Journal of Biological Macromolecules, Expert Opinion on Drug Delivery, Pharmaceutics, Nanomedicine, Polymers, Journal of biomaterials science: polymer edition, Journal of Polymer Engineering, PLOS ONE, Micromachines, Chemical Biology and Drug design, International Journal of Pharmaceutics, International journal of Nanomedicine and Bioengineering.
