I am a PhD research scholar in plasma physics at the Institute for Plasma Research, with research experience in computational and experimental studies of magnetically confined fusion plasmas. My work primarily focuses on scrape-off layer (SOL) transport, plasma-wall interactions, and intrinsic plasma flows in tokamaks using the 3D plasma-neutral transport code EMC3-EIRENE.
My doctoral research involves studying plasma transport and flow behavior in the ADITYA-U tokamak and ITER start-up scenarios. I have performed coupled plasma-neutral simulations to investigate parallel flow reversal, Reynolds stress-driven intrinsic rotation, limiter plasma characteristics, and heat loads on plasma-facing components. I have also worked on ITER ramp-up phase studies, including analysis of heat flux deposition on 3D shaped first wall panels and benchmarking results with SOLPS-ITER and SMITER simulations. Additionally, I have experience generating field-aligned 3D mesh grids for tokamak geometries.
My technical expertise includes plasma transport modeling, computational edge plasma physics, Monte Carlo methods, scientific programming and data analysis using Python, and visualization and interpretation of large simulation datasets. I am proficient in LaTeX for scientific writing and have experience preparing journal manuscripts, technical reports, conference presentations, and thesis chapters.
