Profile Summary

I am a physician-scientist and medical educator with over 15 years of experience spanning clinical medicine, physiology, cardiovascular research, and higher education across India, the United Kingdom, and the United States. I hold an MBBS, MD (Physiology), MPH from the University of Glasgow, MS in Kinesiology from Texas Tech University, and a PhD in Sport and Exercise Science from the University of Gloucestershire. My research focuses on cardiovascular and cerebrovascular physiology, arterial stiffness, sedentary behaviour, menopause, exercise physiology, and lifestyle interventions, with expertise in experimental clinical research, systematic reviews, meta-analyses, and translational health research. I have extensive experience in advanced vascular assessment techniques, including pulse wave velocity, pulse wave analysis, transcranial Doppler ultrasound, flow-mediated dilation, cerebrovascular reactivity, near-infrared spectroscopy, cardiopulmonary exercise testing, accelerometry, and physiological data analysis. My previous and ongoing research has been supported by competitive grants from organizations including The Physiological Society (UK), the University of Gloucestershire, Kyowa Hakko Bio Co., and the NIH-funded CardioRACE study. I have authored more than 40 peer-reviewed publications in leading international journals, serve as a Topic Editor for *Frontiers in Public Health*, and regularly review manuscripts for high-impact journals. Alongside my research, I have taught physiology, exercise science, and medical sciences to undergraduate and postgraduate students at institutions in India, the UK, and the USA, while mentoring student researchers and contributing to curriculum development and academic leadership. My work aims to bridge laboratory-based physiological research with clinical practice and public health to improve cardiovascular disease prevention and healthy ageing.
