Profile Summary

With a professional degree in Biotechnology, I started my carrier as a Research Assistant with a plant tissue culture based organization, Tender Sips in Indore, India. Here I worked on plant tissue culture based projects and gained experience about various types of plant tissue culture procedures, establishment of laboratory setups in startups, laboratory management etc. Latter on I joined National AIDS Research Institute, as a QC technologist. In NARI, I worked on a NACO project for evaluation of performance qualification of diagnostic kits based on ELISA and Lateral Flow Chromatography for different viruses like HIV, HCV and HBsAg. Here I extensively worked on and gained experience in techniques like ELISA, PCR, Western Blot etc. Later on I joined National Institute of Virology in Pune in the year 2014 and since then, till present, I am attached with the same organization as a research technical assistant. Here, I have extensively worked on development and large scale production of ELISA kits for Dengue, Chikungunya and JE viruses. Along with this, I also have a decent hands on experience in cell culture for artificial synthesis of viral antigen, different tissue culture techniques and protein labelling and purification studies. Currently, working on Covid-19 project for new method development and quality evaluation of different diagnostic kits for detection of SARS-CoV-2 infections. Was a part of the support team for development of COVID KAWACH ELISA kit (India's first indigenously developed ELISA kit for Covid IgG detection).
