Profile Summary

I provide training to our graduate students, research staff, and post-docs on laboratory SOPs and experimental protocols, use of specialized laboratory equipment, and performing specialized techniques such as CRISPR-Cas9 genome editing, Nanopore sequencing and 10X genomics technologies. I manage laboratory inventories, order supplies and reagents, and oversee laboratory organization, safety standards, and cleanliness. I also serve as the person of contact responsible for exchanging technical information and resources with our internal and external collaborators. Lastly, I now work as an independent researcher that spearheads several projects. I study relevant literature, develop hypotheses, develop and troubleshoot new technologies and experimental protocols, schedule and perform experiments, analyze and interpret results, and present the results at our weekly lab meetings and to our collaborators, where needed. I also create and edit figures and text for scientific publication. I have developed the necessary time management and multitasking skills to efficiently and effectively conduct all of my responsibilities to the lab and my projects, while also contributing to the critical analysis of other projects spearheaded by other members of research team.
