Profile Summary

I am a climate and atmospheric scientist with a PhD in Atmospheric Sciences completed in March 2025. I previously worked as a Project Scientist-II at Indian Institute of Tropical Meteorology (IITM) , Pune, for two years, where I worked on climate variability, ocean–atmosphere interactions, earth system modeling, and climate model analysis. My research expertise includes the Ocean and Atmospheric Dynamics, Indian Summer Monsoon, coupled climate feedback mechanisms, tropical–subtropical interactions in the Indian Ocean, and climate extremes, particularly marine heatwaves over the Indian Ocean region. I also have experience in setting up and analyzing sensitivity experiments in Earth System Models to better understand climate processes and improve model performance and simulation skills. I have experience working with large climate datasets, reanalysis products, CMIP model outputs, and coupled ocean–atmosphere models such as IITM-ESM and IITM-DCPS. I am skilled in scientific programming and climate data analysis using Python, xarray, NumPy, NetCDF, CDO, shell scripting, and Linux/HPC environments. My work has involved climate diagnostics, EOF analysis, trend and regression analysis, marine heatwave analysis, data visualization, regridding, and processing large multidimensional datasets. I also have experience in scientific writing, publication-quality figure preparation, technical documentation, and research support. I am particularly interested in freelance and collaborative opportunities involving climate data analysis, atmospheric and oceanographic research, Earth System Modeling, scientific computing, environmental data interpretation, and research-oriented Python programming. I am detail-oriented, analytical, and experienced in handling complex scientific datasets for both research and applied climate studies.
