Profile Summary

My consultancy experience included academic provisions of educational and continuing development of young people and professionals in health and social science settings. I was among the pioneer problem-based learning teaching teams of behavioural sciences for nursing and medical schools, postgraduate dietitian training course, postgraduate diploma of health counselling and psychology, family education, the first BPS accredited BSc Psychology in HK, and animal assisted therapy programme. As organizational consultancy and research is concerned, my previous research focused on psychosocial issues of care and community medicine, and major multidisciplinary positive youth developmental programmes and patient outcome studies. These ranged from traditional symptom-based screening, early prevention of potentially youth at-risk, to holistic leadership development and youth wellness development, the psychosocial adjustment research of patients, outcome study of psycho-spiritual intervention by hospital chaplaincy, counsellor education and supervision in frontline counselling services. These experience have informed the consultancy development of further research services, publications and training related to the psychological applications of social, community and health behavioural educational programmes. Number of international professional qualifications and leadership roles in leading professional organizations and bodies, developed networks in counselling, psychological and public health professional contexts. My UK professional connections include the Chartered Psychologist (BPsS), EuroPsy Psychologist (EFPA), Registered Health Psychologist (HCPC) and the Chartered Scientist (Science Council).
