I hold a PhD in Neuroscience, an MSc and a BSc in Biomedical Engineering, a CAS in Nutrition and I'm a certified Nutrition & Lifestyle Coach. As a biomedical engineer and neuroscientist, I have used my engineering expertise applied to the medical field (more specifically neuroscience and neurology). In my PhD and Postdoc work, I recorded, processed, and analyzed EEG recordings of epilepsy patients by applying electrical source imaging and functional connectivity methods to study brain networks. I am the author of more than 20 scientific publications. In addition, I have been writing scientific articles for other authors as well as science-based articles for health blogs for a non-academic audience. I also work as a Nutrition and Lifestyle Coach. My main interests lie in nutrition and neuroscience/neurology. I am specifically interested in the link between brain health and nutritional/lifestyle choices or the gut-brain interaction. I can also translate (Portuguese-English) documents.
