Profile Summary

I am a PhD student in Biomedical Sciences and Oncology at the Department of Molecular Biotechnology and Health Sciences, University of Turin. I graduated with honors in Molecular Biotechnology, focusing on tumor metabolism and cancer cachexia, with a particular interest in the metabolic crosstalk between skeletal muscle and tumors. I developed advanced skills in molecular and cellular biology techniques, as well as experience in murine in vivo models and microscopy-based imaging. I also participated in international academic programs and specialized training courses in statistics, research ethics, animal welfare, and in vivo experimentation. I am currently investigating the role of skeletal muscle metabolism in metastatic progression and systemic inflammation to identify novel metabolic targets in muscle-tumor communication, with potential therapeutic implications for metastasis prevention.
