Profile Summary

My name is Oleksandr Maslov, and I am a Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences with research experience in preclinical drug development, inflammation, oxidative stress, and antimicrobial resistance. Professional Experience: Research Assistant – National University of Pharmacy, Educational and Scientific Institute of Applied Pharmacy, Medical and Biological Laboratory (Ukraine) Research Assistant – I. I. Mechnikov Institute of Microbiology and Immunology of the Academy of Sciences of Ukraine I have experience in conducting in silico (molecular docking) studies, as well as in vitro antimicrobial effect assays including agar diffusion methods, minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) determination, and biofilm formation studies using crystal violet staining. I have conducted in vitro evaluation of antioxidant activity using ABTS, DPPH, FRAP, and potentiometric assays. I have extensive experience working with cell lines (in vitro), including cytotoxicity assessment (MTT assay, CC₅₀ determination), evaluation of intracellular reactive oxygen species (ROS) levels, and studies on anti-inflammatory activity using LPS-stimulated macrophages (RAW 264.7) with measurement of NO, TNF-α, IL-6, IL-1β, and IL-10. My in vivo research experience includes studies on cardioprotective, gastroprotective, neuroprotective, nephroprotective, litholytic, and anti-allergic effects. I also possess strong expertise in the isolation and analysis of individual natural compounds from plant sources, as well as analytical method validation for drug analysis. I have been involved in the development of standardization parameters for quality control of pharmaceuticals and have experience in the development of dosage forms such as ointments, gels, oral tablets, sprays, drops, and granules for internal application. Moreover, I have experience in teaching, delivering lectures and practical classes in Analytical Chemistry, Physical and Colloidal Chemistry, and Laboratory Techniques. I have designed and coordinated preclinical studies, including experimental planning and data interpretation. In addition, I have experience in the preparation and submission of patent applications related to my research. Publications & Patents: To date, this research has led to 27 Scopus/WoS-indexed publications, 26 publications in Ukrainian peer-reviewed journals, and 45 Ukrainian patents. Dr. Maslov played a key role in these works, contributing substantially to experimental design, data acquisition, data analysis, and manuscript preparation.
