Doctoral research focused on the chemistry of biomass burning emissions from fires and their effects on local air quality and global climate. Research was based on data collected via remote sensing and in situ samples collected using the NASA airborne research platforms. Samples were analyzed on a multi-column gas chromatography system. Also wrote short articles on science topics for a science media organization. Also have experience with nuclear reactor operations on a TRIGA research reactor.
