Passionate about science and scientific communication, for the past 10 years, I have been proofreading, editing and copyediting academic articles and grant proposals as a freelance. While writing my PhD thesis, back in 2011, I realised I had fallen inexorably in love also with scientific writing; for this reason, after a postdoctoral fellowship in developmental biology and 2-years experience as a lecturer in biology, in 2019, I started my scientific writer career in a biotech company specialized in developing preclinical models for immuno-oncology and immuno-therapy studies. However, since I am an avid learner, I then decided to work as a freelancer to be able to learn and write about as many scientific topics as possible.
