Profile Summary

An aspiring researcher and a practicing data scientist with experience in Information Systems models, machine learning algorithms and social science research methods. My key projects and experience include the following. Designed and Developed a DSS for ASHA performance monitoring, motivation and improvement founded on the principles of Motivation Theories and leveraging on an ensemble prediction model tuned to identify high risk clusters of ASHAs early into the program using R and RShiny. Developed a comprehensive, dynamic, and objective performance classification system for Accredited Social health Activists (ASHA) using unsupervised and supervised learning techniques to predict potentially low performing ASHAs early into the year. Implemented a time series prediction model to forecast the number of COVID-19 cases (infected, recovered and deaths) in the next 30-day period for the government of Uttar Pradesh using Kalman filtering and Linear regression techniques during the first wave of COVID-19 in the country using R. Developed a prototype algorithm for extracting and ranking passages from Hindi NCERT textbooks for a user generated query as part of a supplementary e-learning application for school students using python. Constructed a simple feedforward ANN with backpropagation from scratch over the popular MNIST dataset to recognize handwritten digits as a part of an individual project using Python. Worked on a study in collaboration with an academician in Delhi University to assess the psychometric properties with respect to the Mental Health Literacy in India in the age group of 18-25. In addition to the descriptive analyses, conducted Exploratory Factor Analysis and Confirmatory Factor Analysis for identifying the latent factors influencing MHL in R. Conducted a mixed method study in collaboration with TATA Trust to assess the perceptions, beliefs and practices with respect to menstrual hygiene in the state of Uttar Pradesh. Designed population sampling, conducted descriptive analyses of both quantitative and qualitative data, curated the results, and prepared the report.
