Profile Summary

I am a public health researcher and health data analyst with training in epidemiology, medical big data, biostatistics, machine learning, nutrition, and evidence synthesis. I also work with systematic reviews, literature searches, evidence synthesis, research methodology, and scientific writing. My research experience includes analysing large-scale longitudinal cohort data to investigate lifestyle, chronic disease, multimorbidity, mortality, and life expectancy. I have worked with the Korean Genome and Epidemiology Study (KoGES-HEXA), including a cohort of more than 100,000 participants, applying survival and flexible parametric models to examine how lifestyle and morbidity relate to mortality and years of life lost. I have also worked on machine-learning research using dietary, demographic, and health characteristics to predict nutrient intake, including model development, cross-validation, performance evaluation, and comparison of prediction approaches. My broader research interests include healthy ageing, health trajectories, multimorbidity, digital health, responsible health AI, and the use of longitudinal data to identify factors associated with changes in health over time. I have experience conducting systematic reviews and evaluating health technologies. This includes reviewing real-world applications of artificial intelligence in primary care, assessing heterogeneous evidence, applying established evaluation frameworks, and evaluating confidence in review findings. I hold an MSc in Medicine (Medical Big Data) from Kangwon National University in South Korea and an MSc in Public Health from the University of Manchester in the United Kingdom. My academic training includes epidemiology, biomedical informatics, machine learning, big-data analysis, digital public health, statistics, and nutrition.
