Profile Summary

Currently, I am working as an External Fellow at the National Center for Seismology (Ministry of Earth Sciences), New Delhi, India / Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi, India. I gained sufficient experience in the domain of seismological and geophysical/geotechnical field investigation by setting up seismo-geophysical equipment with special reference to setting up of Seismological Network to monitor worldwide earthquakes and their location, relocation of the events; preparation of earthquakes / seismic data through the generation of seismological bulletins and dissemination of the seismic data to various stakeholders to deal with earthquake emergency. I have been actively involved in the Seismic Microzonation of 30 cities in India using basic and applied research in various geophysical and geotechnical investigations. Prior to this, I completed my Master of Science Technology [M.Sc. (Tech.)] with specialization in Applied Geophysics from Indian Institute of Technology (Indian School of Mines) [IIT(ISM)] Dhanbad, India and presently pursuing my higher studies leading to a Ph.D. degree as an external researcher from the Department of Geophysics, Banaras Hindu University (BHU) Varanasi, India. I also have experience with other esteemed institutions in India in geophysical, geotechnical, seismological including marine seismic, and report writing-related work since 2011. Additionally, I have high experience in the acquisition, observation, processing, and reporting of marine seismic data in the field of offshore geophysics including familiarity with HSE management and offshore safety procedures. To summarize, I feel confident to work as a geophysicist in accordance with the vision and requirements of the position since I have ample technical and practical expertise in the field of seismology and geophysics.
