Profile Summary

Good Day My name is Jane and a current physics PhD student at the Stellenbosch University. I came out of industry to do my PhD as I was looking for something more mentally stimulating. I graduated with my MSc in Chemistry and my BSc in Chemistry and Polymer Sciences. My current project is looking at different active sunscreen compounds and characterizing them using transient laser spectroscopy and thereafter, calculating their free energy and seeing whether what we see is what we think we see. While in industry, my role was in procurement/admin. I handled three accounts by myself but I found no challenge in the work and left to pursue my PhD. If you find me interesting, please let me know and we can discuss further. Does not have to be work related. Even if it is to just say hi :) For now, I am looking for freelance jobs to support my PhD.
