Profile Summary

I am a Doctoral Candidate at the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC). My dissertation research is focused on elucidating mechanisms of inter-cellular communication in the Epithelial Ovarian Cancer micro-environment, for which I was awarded the UIC CCTS- Clinical and Translational Science Fellowship and the Chancellor's Award for cancer study. I expect to graduate in Fall - 2016 I also work at the UIC- Office of Technology Management as a Technology Analyst. My responsibilities include conducting prior art searches in order to determine patent-ability of new intellectual properties at UIC as well as assisting in developing marketing and commercialization strategies for them.
