Profile Summary

In November 2011 he joined the Department of Electronics of the University of Pavia as a Ph.D. student in Remote Sensing where he started working on algorithms for urban area extraction from Earth observation data, and on fusion of geospatial information. During his PhD, he spent one year at the PUC-Rio, Rio de Janeiro (Brazil). There he was able to learn different image processing techiniques and to improve his skills in many other remote sensing fields. In february 2015 he defended his Ph.D. at the University of Pavia, Italy. His thesis title was 'Processing and fusion of multiresolution spaceborne Earth Observation data for assessing exposure and vulnerability to natural disasters risk. Since february 2014 he is co-founder of Ticinum Aerospace llc, an innovative start-up based in Pavia, Italy.
